George Prophet
Born and raised in Jamaica, George Prophet was first introduced to his love for music singing on the choir. From there friends and family recognized his vocal talent and would always encourage him to sing more.
Music however was a part of his family as they owned a “sound system” in Jamaica where they would encourage young George to sing into the mic, which was his first taste of performing in front of an audience using a microphone.
That catapulted his desire to follow music and gradually started moving towards writing song lyrics.
George Prophet is now a self-taught Reggae Artist, honing his songwriting and singing abilities though years of writing and performance experience, but says artists that help influence his love for music are none other than Beres Hammond and Gregory Isaacs.
Prophet has had 4 prior singles to play consistently on numerous radio stations and with that experience under his belt has moved to release his first EP titled “Love Me Again” which is available now on all digital platforms.
